The competition in the corporate field has reached its peek as everyone wants to excel one another and reach the top. The BBE society, “Impetus” of Lakshmibai College is launching a platform for students to interact with the corporate world. The seminar cum workshop which is to be held on 21st march 2013, Thursday at Conference Centre, University of Delhi has been given the name, “Exploring New Horizons”.
Open to all students of DU and IP University with a minimal registration fee of Rs. 100/- , ENH aims to provide an interface between the students and the corporate world. The event divided in four technical sessions will be kicked off by a welcome speech by prof. JL Jain, the chief guest and the chairman of Lakshmibai College, followed by a key note address on “Money Finance and Governance” by prof. VK kaul, the guest of honor and the HOD of MBE Deptt., University of Delhi. Dr. Anurag Kumar Goyal, currently an advocate in the Supreme Court and the High court of India along with Dr. Ritu Goyal, Academic Council member, DU are scheduled to enlighten the students on the topic, “Lobbying in India” during its first session. The basic idea behind this session is to generate awareness amongst the students about the policies the corporate sector uses to lobby for their interests.
The second session will explain the concept of “Blue Ocean Strategy”, which deals with how to make the competition irrelevant and create uncontested market space which can immensely help the students in future when they opt for corporate jobs or start a business venture. The speaker for this event will be Mr. Anshumali saxena, marketer and business consultant at marketmessiah.com. ENH in its third session, “HR Corner” will help the students to learn the techniques of surviving and growing in a corporate world. Mr. Rajiv Parashar, who is also an International Specialized consultant in Egypt at AON Hewitt, will be sharing his experiences with the students present at this event.
The final session will be a workshop with the students conducted by Mr. Mohit Mehta, Co-promoter and chief operating officer of Wiz Lead management services pvt ltd. The workshop is about Interview phobia as students will be given tips on how to crack interviews with an ease.
