Miranda house Delhi University will be hosting the first time ever Youth Entrepreneurship summit (YES) 2013- aplatform for young visionaries to identify the opportunities, enumerate the threats, work on their weaknesses and improvise their strengths.

The one day event has been scheduled for 11 th of February (Monday) 2013 10:00 amonwards. Two event specific panel discussions followed by a beneficial workshop have been prearranged for the event. Entry will be strictly through prior registrations andonly limited seats are available.

PANEL DISCUSSION ONE:

The first panel discussion shall put forth the various opportunities for young visionaries to exploit. The idea is to brief them about the continually changing patterns on the economic front, the challenges to which such young entrepreneurs could be exposed and other talks on similar grounds.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER YES 2013 :-

Mr. Sanjeev Bikhchandani – an entrepreneur since 1990. He is the cofounder of naukri .com,a leading job site in India and other well-known web portals run by info edge. Sanjeev has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad and he studied Economics at St. Stephen's College, Delhi.

Speaker for the Panel Opportunities for young entrepreneur :-

Ms. Shashi Singh Choudhary  -  founder and chairperson of Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs in India(CWEI), with an interesting goal in mind i.e. to help in creating a chain of woman entrepreneurs one at a time. 

Shashank Vira –Founder of THE HEARTH, CEO of international companies who has  established a chain of high quality international institutions (K-12 schools and higher education colleges) and founded technology-in-education companies. Shashank has an M. Phil. from the University of Cambridge and an honours degree in Physics from St. Stephen’s College.

Mr. Rajesh Magow - Co-founder of  MakeMyTrip Limited in 2000 and serves as its Chief Financial & Operating Officer and Principal Accounting Officer.  He has also worked as a part of the senior management with Tecnovate eSolutions Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ebookers.com.

Mr. Vivek Gaur - has experience building successful online companies like Bagittoday.com (which is now one of India’s largest retail ecommerce websites). He is also a co-founder of yepme.

Anshul Tiwari  from Youth ki awaaz shall be seen as a moderator in the panel discussion one.

PANEL DISCUSSION 2 :-

It shall somewhat be a little broad in nature. The focus lies on unfolding the success stories of young change makers. This may play a vibrant role in inspiring and motivating the young masses.

Speakers :-

Abhinav Prashant – Abhinav has justified the role of a young entrepreneur by taking an initiative to start yatricab.com instead of joining the bandwagon and enrolling in any other  B-school.

Aakriti Bhargava -Before Boring Brands, Aakriti was with Info Edge, India’s largest internet company and managed Brand and Product PR for brands including Naukri.com, 99acres.com, Jeevansathi.com. She is responsible for co –creating Naukri JobSpeak, one of the most recognized and awaited monthly reports on hiring in India. 

Dhruv Sachdeva -  founder of Humour Me, a young entertainment enterprise that aims at unique entertainment solutions. Also he has an acting career which has received much appreciation nationwide.

Workshop:-

The workshop is aimed to guide the trainees on various aspects of how to get started with a business idea. The workshop is being conducted by knowledge partner TiE, Delhi and would be certified by the same. On the successful completion of the workshop the attendees shall be able to get an overview of the journey from the potential to the final act of execution.
