‘‘If diplomacy is your weapon of choice... if you love to debate or simply for the love of speaking, then come be a part of Delhi University MUN Crisis Summit 2013.’’
With this spirited call sign, the Delhi University Model United Nations Crisis Summit 2013 will kick start on March 10, 2013 with a 2-day agenda of discussions on the various proposed crises. Under the aegis of Ms Sonia Sareen, the convenor of the summit, and the supremely talented think-tank of SSCBS MUNers and a pan DU organising team, who have hosted successful events in the past, the crisis summit has garnered a very enthusiastic response from students all across the Delhi University as well as from various schools in Delhi.

Also, the uniqueness of the event attracted a lot of amateur MUN aspirants for whose benefit, orientation sessions were provided in SSCBS as to the research techniques to be used irrespective of whether or not they were finally selected to be on the delegate team. After a 2 month long application process and various rounds of finalization, the delegates and committee members have been finalised and are raring to clash with the best on their respective topics.
The summit also promises to bring forth a unique combination of 7 extraordinary and challenging crises to bring out the best in the speakers. These are as follows:

 UN Security Council
 Israeli War Cabinet
 Palestinian War Cabinet
UN General Assembly Emergency Special Session
UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination Committee – UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs    (UNOCHA)
 UEFA Champions League 2012-2013
Research and Analysis Wing of India (R&AW)

Overall, the 2 days of this unprecedented event are going to be memorable not just for the participants but also for the entire DU student body who’ll get a valuable insight into the grand world of MUNs.
