Young people from 33 cities and 4 countries have come together in national capital for the first of its kind BRIC Conference hosted by AIESEC for international youth leaders from Brazil, Russia, China and India.

The first day started with arrival of international delegates from their various different countries. The day then proceeded to kick off by an introductory seminar on ‘BRIC Relations - Challenges and Opportunities Ahead’ by Dr. Rupakjyoti Borah, Assistant Professor (International Relations, School Of Liberal Studies – PDPU, Gandhinagar. Dr Borah introduced the delegation at the conference by establishing the common ground of GDP growth and how these economies need each other’s support today from more than ever.

The introductory note followed by a panel discussion moderated by Pierre Fritter who is currently the Assistant Editor of India Today Group and is also a proud AIESEC alumnus. The discussion witnesses young leaders from these four countries discussing cultural and historical diversities and yet how stark similarities have made it more than necessary for the young people from these nations to know about each other.

The discussion also took politics in its purview and worked on conclusions of how global understanding and governance. “More open communications and international relations can help all of us benefit better”, said Enoch Wong – Vice President Organization Development for AIESEC in China.

The AIESEC entities in these four countries have also started to build and work around how AIESEC as an organization can build its international community development and internships programs through serious call to actions. This conference will also serve as a platform for these young people from these four countries to network and work in collaboration over projects to take AIESEC to more young people. The four day conference starts on 20th of March and goes on till 23rd of March.

BRIC conference will host 50 plus student leaders of AIESEC in these four countries, facilitating discussions and debates of how the world can develop young entrepreneurial and responsible leaders.  The conference will discuss the future of young people in these four countries and bring out the global youth voice in true sense.  The conference will kick start with a panel discussion on BRIC Countries and our shared values. The conference will also host an international gala dinner inviting corporate houses from all nation. The conference will end with a collective statement from these young people of how world would look like by end of 2015 and how we would create images of future and beyond.
